POST-SERVICE CARE
Extension maintenance appointments every 6-10 weeks helps protect your investment, maintain your results, and support the health of your natural hair. Booking in advance is recommended.
Avoid use of sunscreens, tanning lotion/self tanner, make-up, chlorinated water/hard water on your hair & extensions. These can alter the color & quality of hair.
Make sure before swimming, boating, tanning, or any heavy wind activity to wet hair with fresh water, use products & wear a protective low braid or ponytail to protect hair color and extensions from matting.
Avoid frequently wearing tight styles and tight elastics. Over time, these can cause breakage and stress on the hair follicle, which can lead to traction alopecia.
Brushing hair extensions throughout the day with an extension safe brush, gently working from ends to roots and keeping the mids to ends of hair oiled at least nightly to keep hair at maximum health and quality.
When shampooing, scrub and shampoo the scalp/roots only and rinse in natural direction. Use fingers and scrub in between the rows of extensions and the top of the wefts gently. Use conditioner on mids to ends avoiding the roots.
Use a leave-in heat protectant on damp hair before blow drying and an aerosol iron guard before ironing.
Extensions are available in straight, wavy, and curly textures with a wide variety of colors. Caring for textured wefts can differ slightly from straight wefts. For any questions reach out by text, phone, email, or social media.
Unless extensions are wavy or curly wefts, do not air dry completely. At a minimum, blow dry the root of all rows to maintain the strength of genius wefts. The mids to ends may air dry if desired.
Sleep in a low ponytail or braid nightly with a silk scrunchy. For maximum protection use a silk pillowcase/bonnet.
